We Are Born Undercooked

“We are born undercooked,” said my sociology professor. Interesting.

We are born undercooked. We are born useless. We have nothing to offer except potential.

Children are a burden because they are an emotional, social, and economic drain on the family. I can attest to this as I am a child myself. I see my parents spending so much of their energy and time on me. I see classmates burning their parents’ pockets.

Parents do not have the foresight or knowledge that their child will ever produce anything to make the society better or make their life better.

If you look at the typical middle class, do you know what we like to do to our elderly?

We put them into institutions, forget about them for months, and are willing to pay. We are more willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to keep the elderly incarcerated in nursing homes, rather than have the discomfort of having them live in our homes ourselves.

For parents, in the idea of investment and in capitalist terms, you lost your investment.

What should we conclude from this revelation? Our previous illusion and ideology of children is false.

This should be celebrated! This is a positive step forward which frees us from behaviors and mannerisms of the past.

Having children is not an issue. The issue is the requirement and expectation for families and mainly women to bear children and have a family.

There is over 7 billion people living on Earth. Having children should and is an individualistic choice.
